United Way Announces the 2014 Sweepstakes Winners

  • During the weeks of December 7 and 14, 2014, the United Way of Inner Wisconsin $1,000 Sweepstakes “Prize Patrol” delivered $1,000 checks to five unsuspecting winners.  The 2014 prize winners were Rhonda Walker, Rusty Roe, Kris Gruneberg, and Cheale Matthews.  A fifth prize was surrendered by June Newman so it could be re-invested into the United Way of Inner Wisconsin general fund.  The winners qualified by making a first-time $26.00 donation to United Way of Inner Wisconsin, or by increasing their gift by $26.00 over their donation last year.  Thanks to our prize sponsors and everyone who qualified, our third annual sweepstakes was a success!
    • In South Wood County
      • $60,989 new undesignated dollars were raised from 738 donors
      • $33,110 from 295 people who did not give to the 2013 campaign
      • $18,804 from 305 existing donors
      • $9,076 from 138 unknown donors (other United Ways or Riverview)
    • In Adams County
      • $14,008 new undesignated dollars from 99 donors
      • $11,645 from 73 people who did not give to the 2013 campaign
      • $2,354 from 23 existing donors
  • This years winners were:
    • Rhonda Walker from Rocktenn (sponsored by Heartland Farms)
    • Rusty Roe from the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department (sponsred by Riverview Family Clinic)
    • Kris Gruneberg from Solarus (sponsored by River Cities Bank)
    • Cheale Matthews from Mid-State Technical College (sponsored by Timber Shores)
    • The fifth prize was surrendered by June Newman to it could be reinvested ino the United Way general fund. THANK YOU!
