Volunteer Center

Established in 1990, the Volunteer Center’s mission is to mobilize and inspire people to utilize their talents and enhance our community.  We serve as a clearinghouse of volunteer opportunities from agencies and people in the community looking for volunteer opportunities.

We also foster volunteer recognition through the annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast and monthly Volunteer Spotlight; we offer training and support to organizations that utilize volunteers, through our Volunteer Coordinators of Inner Wisconsin and monthly agency visits; and we work on several annual volunteer events, such as Day of Caring, the Homeless Point in Time Count and National Volunteer Week.  Lastly, we coordinate our local Disaster Volunteer Reception Center, which helps process volunteers who wish to volunteer after a disaster.
